Mar 20, Please don't forget to VOTE!

Please vote in the primaries as well....that is HUGE.

If you have never taken an interest in politics before, I urge you to start taking an interest this ELECTION!

I'm well aware that people have many issues that they consider when looking for a president, but as a gay or lesbian individual, in my opinion, the ability to treat ALL people, gay or straight, equal should be at the TOP OF YOUR PRIORITY LIST when voting. (If it's not, then please don't come here or anywhere else complaining about not having rights to marry, etc.)

I will not tell you who I am voting for in the primaries, but I want you to know that there is not one republican candidate that is for GAY MARRIAGE (not even civil unions.) John McCain, who will be running for President, is the best republican pick if you are a gay or lesbian person, but STILL keep in mind he is NOT for gay marriage or civil unions, etc.

Out of the democrats, Barack and Hillary are both for civil unions at least.

What does all of this mean? It means get out there and VOTE in your states' primary and definitely without a doubt vote in the general election. Let's have our voices be heard.

I just want to point out that if you are a registered republican and you want to vote for a democrat in the primaries that you most likely are going to have to re-register beforehand as a democrat to do so. (Some states you don't have to do that, check with your state.) But in Pennsylvania, where I am from, you do have to do that.

Ok so I told a little fib when I said I wasn't going to tell you who I was voting for :-) Barack Obama will get my vote in the Pennsylvania primaries coming up (I honestly wanted John Edwards, but what can ya do?)

Massachusetts is launching a new ad campaign and some of it is geared towards gay and lesbian visitors! It's about time they taped into this HUGE market that has already been traveling to Provincetown and other areas for years and years now. Money, regardless of what sexual orientation is holding it, has FINALLY started to talk......

Oh and remember how they were trying to ban same-sex marriage in Massachusetts? Legislators voted and defeated the same-sex marriage ban! Great job, Massachusetts!

On Monday, February 19, 2007 at 12:08 am; New Jersey performed it's first civil union for Daniel Gross and Stephen Goldstein! Congrats to the happy couple and every other gay and lesbian couple in New Jersey that had or will be having their civil unions in the future.

If you and your partner had a previous civil union or marriage in another state than you can apply for your civil union and have it right away. If this is your first time being united, then there is a 72-hour waiting period after you fill out your civil union application (just like with marriage applications.)

Congrats again! (Hopefully, the neighboring state of Pennsylvania will catch up soon!)

Jan 22, Massachusetts to try to Add Amendment to BAN Gay Marriage

Massachusetts, the only state to allow Gay Marriage, is trying to add an amendment in the 2008 elections to make marriage between one man and one woman.

The approval of this ballot still needs to go through one more legislative session. If it goes through, it will be on the ballot in 2008 for the people of Massachusetts to vote on.

If the ban should pass, all previous Gay Marriages will still be in tact, but ban any new ones.

Jan 22, Mass. and other states - be careful who you vote for in regards to the Presidential Election

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney will be running for President in the up coming election.

Please don't think that Gov. Romney is FOR Gay Marriage just because Massachusetts was the first state to allow Gay Marriage.

Gov. Mitt Romney is AGAINST Gay Marriage. So, please be sure to get all of the facts about ALL of the presidential candidates despite what each candidates states' views are on gay marriage.

Just a note in regards to the new Governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick. He is a man that is for Gay Marriage.

He had this to say about the legislative ballot to vote to add an amendment to the upcoming ballot banning gay marriage:

Calling it a question of conscience, Gov.-elect Deval Patrick had urged lawmakers not to vote on it Tuesday, which would have effectively killed it.

I believe that adults should be free to choose whom they wish to love and to marry, Patrick said shortly before lawmakers were to meet for the final day of their session.

Dec 14, Today Lawmakers in NJ will be Voting on the Civil Unions Bill

If NJ signs this bill into law it would give gay and lesbian couples in New Jersey the same rights as heterosexual married couples, however gay and lesbian couples' unions would still not be called a Marriage.

This would still be great news folks. So, don't get too upset. You gotta start walking before you can run, remember. Plus, keep in mind, regardless of WHERE in the U.S. gay marriage or civil unions are legalized, there are still NO federal laws given to gay and lesbian couples who marry.

Dec 8, Congrats to Mary Cheney, Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter, who is pregnant!

Her and partner have been together for 15 years and now Mary is pregnant. They will not disclose what process they chose to use in order for Mary to become pregnant. Good for them I say! That is something personal between the 2 partners involved.

Unfortunately for them they have moved to Virginia. And Virginia is state that not only prohibits gay marriage, but also any type of civil union, domestic partnership or any such agreement of the sort between same-sex couples. Mary and her partner, Heather, are going to have to take extra measures now so that Heather can protect her parental rights to their upcoming child.

For more information about some of those measure that you too, can take, check out our page below:
